Capitaine de Vaisseau, Raymond DEQUET est Commandeur de la Légion d'Honneur et a reçu la Croix de Guerre 39-45 et TOE. Il demeure à Brest (29), puis à Paris (75, 16ème). Il reste souvent dans sa propriété de Belâbre (36). En 2007, il publie un livre, "Où était l'honneur ? : un marin se souvient des années de guerre : 1939-1945", aux Éditions Guénégaud, Paris.
